Welcome to the Sutton Coldfield & District Riding Club Web site!
We are a friendly grass roots club and aim to help beginners to Dressage to start on the ladder. For the more experienced we also add Rustic Fence Jumping and for the really competitive we combine the two for Combined Training. Clear round jumping will run all through the day. We are also offering two sorts of clear round. Both types of classes cost £2. The small clear round with the painted jumps is open for competitors to get round as they choose with only a reasonable limit on refusals per jump. The other clear round is in the main arena and you can try the rustic jumps at both heights non competitively but with a limit of 2 refusals at each jump, then you have to move on. Those taking part in the main jumping class will have priority. If you are actually in the main class you will have to do your main jump round first before you can do the clear round. We also need to point out that all clear round jumpers have to wear a jacket or coat of some sort with long sleeves, for safety reasons. This necessity was demonstrated at a show when someone was thrown and would have had much worse injuries had she not been wearing a jacket. Shows normally start at 10.00 a.m. but depend on the number of entries in Dressage. Jumping normally starts between 11.00 and 11.30 but again this depends on the number of entries in Combined Training. We've now got the dates for 2008 and these and the tests are as follows:
