A MESSAGE FROM YOUR CHAIRMAN APRIL 2008
Welcome to the 2008 season.
Let’s hope that the weather is kind to us this year so that we can all enjoy the monthly shows.
Enclosed is the first entry form for May, from which you will see the dates for the rest of the season, (please make a note of them in your diary) together with this year’s membership form.
Last year we were over-subscribed for dressage entries at every show, so please enter early if you want to be sure of a place.
As most people prefer to go as late as possible, and to be fair to every competitor, entries are numbered in order of receipt, so the earlier you enter, the later your times will be, unless you specifically request an early time. So please do not request late times. If you want to go late, enter early.
In line with competitors’ requests, entries are accepted by me in the judge’s box on a show day for the following month’s competitions.
To bring the club into line with B.H.S., B.S.J.A. and other shows, your committee has introduced the following rule:
“In order to receive their rosettes, competitors must present themselves in the main ring, correctly dressed as for dressage or show jumping, including hats, and preferably mounted.”
Many thanks for your continued support and I look forward to meeting you again during the year.
JOHN RYLEY
